We are developing first in class products for treating metastatic breast cancer. Our products address a novel target, Eya/Six1 not targeted by current cancer drugs. The central role of Eya/Six1 in breast cancer, and, importantly, in metastasis, was discovered by our scientific founder Dr. Heide Ford. • The compounds we are developing as breast cancer drugs target the Eya/Six1-controlled cancer pathway which is found in a majority of breast cancer patients and 90% of metastatic breast tumors • Eya/Six1 has been shown to turn on genes leading to metastasis (spread) of cancer cells from the original breast tumor. • Drugs targeting Eya/Six1 are expected to block cancer growth and metastasis. • SixOne’s drugs are expected cause few side effects because they will be specific to Eya/Six1, which is present in cancer cells but generally not found in normal cells.
