Galaxy Ophthalmics has developed the first and only implantable glaucoma shunt which can be adjusted noninvasively for increases in pressure in the eye (IOP). Currently, about 50% of the shunts fail to adequately control the pressure within the first 5 years of implantation, usually requiring surgical intervention. Inadequately controlled pressure and repeated surgeries present an increased risk of reduction or loss of eyesight. We're out to change that.
