Pedalectric is developing a line of 2 person, side by side human electric and human engine hybrids that are inexpensive to buy and fun to ride. Pedalectrics are currently designed to meet the US Department of Transportation's FMVSS 500 for Low Speed Vehicles. They generally have a curb weight of less than 250 kg., and accept batteries, 49cc natural gas and ethanol engines, and are increasingly designed to accept a wide variety of of electronic built in components.
