R&D Capital Management is the General Partner of R&D Capital Partners LP, a newly formed hedge fund investing in unsecured bank debt whose performance is linked to equities, interest rates, and commodities. The firm was incubated within a family office and is currently up for emerging manager hedge fund of the year in the credit space, www.emergingmanagerawrds.com. Our typical client is a family office or fund of funds. R&D Capital Management is the only hedge fund investing solely in the structured note space. A structured note typically offers investors downside protection, on average 20% while maintaining upside exposure. These notes are issued by banks such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Barclays, and are unsecured debt. The firm has averaged around 12% annualized returns over the last five years. We currently use ALPS Price Meadows as our third party administrator, ConvergEx as our Prime Broker, Spicer Jeffries is our audit firm, and Bryan Cave is our legal representation.
